RS Music Player ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our music player application handles information and what permissions we require to provide you with our services.

We do NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information. RS Music Player is designed with privacy as a core principle. The app operates entirely on your device and does not send any data to external servers.

3. Permissions Required

The app requires the following permissions to function properly:

3.1 Storage Permissions

• READ_MEDIA_AUDIO (Android 13+): Required to read and access audio files stored on your device. This allows the app to scan and display your music library.
• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (Android 12 and below): Required to access audio files on older Android versions.

Why we need this: To scan your device storage for music files (MP3, WAV, M4A, etc.) and display them in the app for playback. No files are modified, uploaded, or shared.

3.2 Foreground Service Permissions

• FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Allows the app to run a foreground service for continuous music playback.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK: Specifically designates the foreground service for media playback purposes.

Why we need this: To continue playing music when you switch to other apps, lock your screen, or the app is in the background. This ensures uninterrupted music playback.

3.3 Notification Permission

• POST_NOTIFICATIONS (Android 13+): Required to display playback controls in the notification area.

Why we need this: To show you the currently playing song, album art, and playback controls (play, pause, next, previous) in your notification shade and lock screen.

4. How We Use Permissions

All permissions are used solely for their intended purpose:

• Storage permissions are used ONLY to scan and read audio files for playback
• Foreground service is used ONLY to maintain music playback in the background
• Notification permission is used ONLY to display playback controls
• No data is ever collected, transmitted, or shared with third parties
• No analytics or tracking services are integrated

5. Data Storage and Security

Since we do not collect any personal information:

• No user data is stored on our servers (we have no servers)
• All music playback happens locally on your device
• Your music files remain on your device and are never uploaded
• No internet connection is required for the app to function

6. Third-Party Services

RS Music Player does NOT integrate or use any third-party services including:

• No analytics services (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics)
• No advertising networks
• No crash reporting services
• No social media integrations

7. Children's Privacy

Our app does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. The app is safe for users of all ages.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated "Effective Date". Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Your Rights

You have complete control over the app:

• You can revoke permissions at any time through Android Settings
• You can uninstall the app at any time
• Since we don't collect data, there's nothing to delete or request

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

Since we do not collect any personal information, CCPA requirements do not apply. There is no personal information to access, delete, or port.

11. GDPR Compliance

For users in the European Union: We do not process any personal data, so GDPR data processing requirements do not apply. The app functions entirely locally on your device.
